Life in HK

(Old post from MSN space)

Was wondering around in Harbour City yesterday.... a alot of shoppers, mixture of locals and tourists from all over the world. Suddenly, don't know why I am doing there and what I want out of there. A bit sad, a bit missing the life in Auckland. Having been back to Asia (Taiwan/HK) for almost one month now, however most of the time I am either staying at home or with the family going out. Dad thought I am quite unusual compared with before. Maybe. I am still trying to get used to the crowd in Asia, and the different life style here. Honestly, I do miss the simple life in Auckland, miss my dog Charlie, miss my small blue RAV4 and the freedom to drive around, miss the blue sky and the sea, miss.......

Back to Reality

(Originally emailed on 2 Nov 2006)

Dear friends,

I am back to home in full shape after 2 months and 10 days travelling in Europe :) Sorry for not updating the news in time after arriving home - it took me a while to adjust the jet leg plus unpacking the luggages. Finally I am close to finish uploading all the photos to share with you. The invitation will be send by next email and the travel journals are gradually uploaded on my MSN space.

I was watching the movie the other night and can't help not to feel sad when seeing Paris again on screen. I guess not only Paris, all the places I had been over the past two months have been deeply rooted in my mind with beautiful memories. I am truly lucky during the journey - although most of time I am by myself, I seldom feel lonely or helpless. Possibly it's because I am too tired everyday to think about the loneliness, possibly I have not yet met bad people who intend to harm me, possibly I just look like a poor backpacker.....There are too many possibilities, but after the trip, I know I am becoming more positive towards life and myself, and there are too many things waited to be discovered in our short life.

Hopefully you will enjoy the photos thought it might feel like watching the documentary with only scenery, architectures and some strange window displays (I do wish to show you the life adult show in Amsterdam but unfortunately there's no photo allowed to be taken in the red light district :P). There are also subtitles for some photos to have better explanation.

Take care of yourself, and stay in touch,

Ciao,
