Travel Journal: Rhine Valley (St. Goar) to Amsterdam

31 Aug, Rhine Valley (St. Goar) to Amsterdam

After staying in Munich for one night and one half day, we drove to Austria Tyrol for water rafting. On the boat we have Louis, Ale, David, Ally, Stacy, Magumi and myself. The water is alright, but because I got a hole in my wet suit, I feel so damn freezing when our guide asked us to jump into the water. I guess I am just too focused on not to fall into the water and forget to appreciate the beautiful scenery aside the river.

After this, we drove to Hofgargen, a small town famous for the winter skiing. We went mountain biking in the morning and had the paragliding in the afternoon. I haven't done mountain bike for almost 8 years, and my butt really hurts. The scenery is beautiful and the riding is enjoyable, although we do occasionally got the shower alone the way. Honestly I don't think I am the person who will try paragliding, but every time when I am in overseas, I tend to become more "brave" than I used to be. Yes, I did try the paragliding. We took the cable car to the upper hill and we need to be attached to a big "umbrella" and run from the hill. Not very long after I start running, we are already in the air. The coach is right behind me, but still, it's scared. I couldn't help to hold the bars very tightly...
